Consulting clients and building systems for winning
Win More By Getting Better
Strategy · Processes · People
We’re not a “generic” consulting firm, we are only focused on one thing—
How do you win more by getting better?
We don’t write reports. We are experts at transforming people and processes, and we partner with our clients all the way until they can best do it without us.
We’ve just gotten started, but here’s some of the things we’re focused on…
- Leaving a big bank and starting a firm: From scratch. How? Every aspect of business building and leading.
- Starting a hedge, VC or private equity fund: How do you become a leader and build a firm? How do you master the sale to close your fund bigger and in record time?
- Transforming investment shops: We have deep expertise with asset managers, and we love optimizing every aspect of the machine.
- Dynamic companies: We’re focused on the hardest topics of leadership, culture, skills and team building, as well as big transitions.
- Private equity: Transforming portfolio companies. Not that “sending in operating consultants” nonsense, but systematically transforming processes, people… and multiples.
Banking · Asset Managers · Corporate
We’re not just advisors, we’re practitioners. We’ve sat in the seats of our clients, we know what it takes to win, and we build the systems we wish were handed to us in our careers and as leaders building businesses. We don’t do “consulting.” We help our clients win more by bringing systematic excellence to everything they do.
Geoff Blades | President
Geoff has been an advisor to leaders his entire career, first as an investment banker and investor on Wall Street, and today as an advisor on all topics related to getting what you want.
Geoff founded BLK as an institutional platform to complement his work as a leader in the field of personal development. Seeing the enormous impact his work was having on the skillfulness and success of just one on his CEO clients, Geoff began to imagine what would be possible if you “pushed down” expert systems for winning to all employees.
BLK was born and Geoff began assembling a team of highly experienced professionals (a number whom remain private) to help him build it.
Here can you learn more about Geoff’s approach to consulting and to the type of work we do at BLK.
Mark Cregar | Marketing
Mark began his career as a brand manager at several major packaged good companies, including Nabisco and Coca-Cola, before moving into the world of digital entertainment, running marketing for Sony’s Crackle, and Hallmark’s Hall of Fame streaming network, “Feeln.”
Mark’s 20+ years in Fortune 500 companies exposed him to the pressing need for real systematic approaches to marketing through a dedicated approach to skill development, which is much his focus in our work at BLK.
Mark holds a degree in English Literature from Albright College and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Quentin Danziger | R&D, Special Projects
“Q” is responsible for a lot of the background thinking that goes into some of our projects, and when Geoff is dreaming up ideas, he’s often doing it in the lab with Q.
A deep thinker on advanced topics, with a degree in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines, Q brings a variety of skills that we rely on to craft custom solutions for our clients.
Based in Colorado, Q lives outside the box, and brings his unique perspective to everything we do.
Jonny Dupre | Head of Training
When Geoff left Wall Street and stepped into the world of personal change, Jonny was one of his original trainers. One of the best change workers on the planet, Jonny works with individuals to achieve their potential as well as with groups, training advanced topics on the mind.
At BLK, Jonny is a powerful weapon in quickly transforming clients and building the systems that drive change over time.
Jonny has a degree in Human Development from California State University, and more than 15 years experience in transformational change.
Patrick Yeghnazar | Hedge Fund Advisory
After his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and as an investor at Highbridge Capital, Patrick was drawn into the world of top performance.
Initially exploring how hard-core mental conditioning could improve his own trading, Patrick saw how much this skill would have improved his performance at Highbridge, as well as the enormous need for this type of knowledge in the hedge fund community.
Coming together with Geoff, whom he worked with early in his career at Goldman Sachs, they began to build the systems that today form the foundation of our Hedge Fund Advisory.
